8 Bizzare Auctioned Items That Will Make Your Eyes Pop Out!

Celebrity merchandise auctions are pretty common. Usually, it’s the clothes they wore for a movie that’s usually sold for a charitable cause. However, there are certain pieces which go under the hammer that will really shock you.

1. Salman Khan’s Towel – ₹ 1,42, 000

The song ‘Jeene ke hain chaar din’ from the movie, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, is still associated with Salman’s towel dance. The towel he used in the song was auctioned on Ebay in 2009 and was ultimately sold for ₹ 1,42,000. The funds were raised for an NGO called, Society for Nutrition, Education and Health Action.

2. Britney Spears’s used chewing gum – $ 14,000


Yup, you read it right! It was a used chewing gum. Another eBay jewel – a spat out chewing gum, apparently that of pop star Britney Spears was auctioned on the site. It was sold for, hold your breath, $14,000! There was no certificate of authenticity, although the seller says it was his ‘personal story of procurement’.

3. Scarlet Johnson’s tissue – $ 5,300

In December 2008, Scarlett Johansson blew her nose on stage at “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” She did so after making a joke about how she had caught a cold from Samuel L. Jackson, and therefore her cold was pretty valuable.

She then announced she would put the tissue up for auction, which she did. The item raised $5,300 for the hunger relief charity USA Harvest.

4. Lady Gaga’s Fake Fingernail – $ 12,000

Lady Gaga’s style and fashion statement are always under the radar of the fashion police. She always matches her dress with her accessories. The singer wore a set of black acrylic nails featuring gold embellishments to the launch of her Fame fragrance. The next day, she wore the same nails to her ‘Born This Way’ Ball tour stop in Dublin, and that’s when one of the nails fell off of her finger. The nail was then recovered by a member of the stage crew. The black embellished nail fell off during her show and was sold on a website for $ 12,000. That’s only ONE Nail, btw!
